Overview
Tips
The Children’s Museum of Denver is
a popular attraction for both parents and children alike. It is an
educational environment that uses play to teach. Located near Ocean
Journey, it completes a fun days for the kids.
The hands-on exhibits at the Children’s Museum spark intellectual,
cultural and physical development, but more importantly, they
entertain in the process. You can build a race car, create your own
inventions, play with exotic animals or learn to ski, snowboard or
skate at the year-round outdoor challenge center.
The revolutionary ski slope is made of a plastic material with
special fingers that supposedly act just as snow would. If skiing
isn’t quite your thing, try Rollerblading along the South Platte
River.
The Center for the Young Child is the museum’s newest playscape.
It is geared towards newborns through age 3. The attraction has
numerous activities that enhance the learning process through simple
games.
There’s even a mini grocery store so your children can learn about
the escalating cost of food at an early age.
Parking is $5 and you should plan on about two hours to see
everything. There is a park next door with picnic tables and swings
that make for a nice stop before or after your visit to the museum. |
