Colorado is officially “Cup Crazy.” Until the Colorado Avalanche arrived in 1995, the Denver Broncos were the undisputed favorite sports team in Colorado. Not that the Avalanche have become more popular, but they’re gaining ground. Winning the Stanley Cup in their first season will sometimes have that affect.
The Colorado Avalanche has established a tradition of winning and excellence in just a few short years, and fans have responded adoringly. They have made the playoffs every year and are always in contention to once again win it all. It’s just a shame they have to share a stadium with the Nuggets and all their gremlins. |
