Each year the Colorado Mountain Club leads trips and teaches courses on mountaineering. Participants learn skills such as the preservation of the environment as well as technical climbing and hiking. The club has a strong focus on the conservation of Colorado’s precious outdoor resources.
The Colorado Mountain Club is located 20 miles west of Denver in Golden, Colorado at the American Mountaineering Center. They offer special events throughout the year and have a large mountaineering library and museum.
