Rocky Mountain National Park is the best location in Colorado to experience the vast beauty of the Rocky Mountains. Once you get off the road and onto the trails, the jagged mountain tops and lush alpine meadows ( not to mention the thin air) will take your breath away.
Whether you’re an avid backpacker or day hiker, there are many trails to suit all abilities. The ranger station at the edge of the park on U.S. 36 will have reports on trail conditions and is definitely worth a stop.
