Overview    Tips

Q: What is a “must see” at Rocky Mountain National Park?

Trail Ridge Road, by car is a great scenic tour of the park and the best way to see the park if short on time. For those who are feeling more athletic, Trail Ridge Road can be done on a bicycle (This is best when dropped off at the highest point-Fall River Pass- and then one can coast the 20 miles downhill).

Q: What is a secret about Rocky Mountain National Park?

If hiking, biking, etc., plan on doing so in the morning if possible. Afternoon thunderstorms are common in the mountains, especially at higher elevations where bad weather can be dangerous.

Q: Is food available?

There is a snack bar at Fall River Pass, but most people bring in their own food.
